To share a puppy

A puppy to share, a feeling sublime
A feeling so rare, at a moment in time

May all of our wishes, be granted as well
Of visions and dreams, to show and to tell

Tis gratitude that binds the heart to the gift
A prayer for peace, our spirits to lift

By children we’re led, no shame in that notion
It’s their innocence and behavior, that justifies emotion
